Stress and worry in the dental community can be expressed in many ways, including;
·      Negative self-talk
·      Lack of confidence and self esteem
·      Defensive dentistry
·      Constant training and courses
·      Cyclical thought patterns
·      Arriving early and leaving late for work
·      Not being able to leave work at work
·      Overworking to attempt to finish
·      Anger
·      Criticism, micromanaging
·      Bullying and intimidation
·      Over control, obsessions and compulsions
·      Over sleeping or insomnia
·      Seldom or never taking holidays
·      Reclusiveness
·      Abusing drugs, alcohol, food, exercise, porn, social media etc

How do you express, stress and anxiety?



 What is your number?


There is so much coverage of mental health issues in the media and yet it is on the rise.

Why are people suffering?

ü Many people suffer and don’t go to their GP because it will appear on their medical records and affect life assurance and medical protection cover.

ü Others don’t seek help because it means taking time off work.

ü Many don’t want to admit they are not coping or have a problem.

ü Some fear the expense of months or years of therapy sessions.

ü Others have had convention therapy and it did not work or made the situation worse.

ü Many people have had a trauma and don’t want to back and revisit the painful situation.

ü Don’t want to talk to someone else, even a trained therapist.

ü Some just don’t believe that it is possible to change and get well.

ü Others believe that getting well will take a long time, will be expensive and painful.

ü Many don’t want to take regular medication

What is your reason for not seeking solutions?

I have experienced a lot of stress, anxiety and trauma. I saw my first psychiatrist aged five because I self-harmed. Adolescence was a challenge and I attempted suicide age 13. I had periods of depression and was signed off for depression as a dental student, and several acute episodes as a practice owner. I had much therapy as an individual as a group, and medications. Nothing seemed to work, the black cloud was never far away.

That was until a miraculous accident and I discovered NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming). Following the first weekend of training I stopped taking all antidepressants and have not taken them or needed them in the 15 years since.

Now I have been medication free for 15 years, not even a paracetamol, and I do not experience flashbacks, or periods of incapacity or depression. I have been cured.

NLP enabled me to revisit and heal the past in a safe and pain-free way. The shackles that bound me were removed.

It was because of the results I experienced using NLP, that I trained as an NLP Master practitioner, 13 years ago, and became a trainer, 10 years ago. Now I share this incredible process with people like you.
