Do you know your healthy numbers?

If you were to see a patient for the first time or for a routine examination, you would most likely do a Basic Periodontal Examination (BPE), wouldn't you?

If one of your patients were taken in to hospital and kept in, the nursing staff would monitor their vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature on a regular basis, wouldn't they?

Why do we do this?

That's right, we do it because it enable us to;

  • Have a base line measurement of how severe the disease is,
  • Help plan appropriate treatment
  • Qualitively measure improvements
  • Help us get and keep our patients healthy.
When you are planning treatment for your patients you go through several steps;
  • Diagnosis of the problem(s)
  • Elimination and stabilisation of disease
  • Restoration of function and aesthetics
  • Maintenance
If your practice were a patient, would you know how sick or healthy it was?
What vital signs are you measuring on a regular basis?

Have you ever had a heath issue such as being over weight, unfit, diabetic, toothache or RSI etc, that you knew needs attention? If so did you actively do something about it as soon as you knew there was a problem, or did you wait until you couldn't ignore it any longer?

Have you, or someone else you know, ever had a situation where you thought you were fit and healthy only to discover as a bolt out of the blue that there were serious health issues? Hopefully this is picked up on a routine screening rather than a fatal  cardiac collapse.

Both of these attitudes and situations to health are likely to exist in the health of your practice.

To help you prevent or solve any situations that may fatally affect your practice, diagnose any possible as yet unknown problems in your practice and to keep your practice healthy, successful and profitable, I have created a unique practice health examination tool called the Brilliant Practice examination (BPE).

I invite you to follow the link and complete the simple questionnaire and discover your healthy numbers.
