Is your strategy serving you or sabotaging you?


If you are stressed, anxious, traumatised, despairing, experiencing conflict or challenges, experience shows that you will be managing it in one of only four ways that will either sabotage or serve you.





1.     Continue to live in and endure the pain, feeling it and numbing it through a displacement activity such as drink, drugs, workaholism, CPD courses, over or under or eating, etc.

2.     Continue in the current situation and transfer your pain to others through anger, violence, control, punishment, withdrawal etc.

3.     Deny the challenges and pain exists, hoping it will disappear, however it will generally grow like a tumour.

4.     Finding the courage to acknowledge the situation is unsatisfactory, work with a coach, mentor or therapist so you can learn, grow and find your solutions and get beyond the pain / frustration /challenges you are in.



Are options 1,2,3 real solutions? Many will say that they will keep you trapped sabotaging you, so you will run the risk of ill health, failure in career, family and/or business and often marriage breakup. For many the patterns become passed on and become replicated by future generations and so the unhappy cycle continues.

Option 4 is the only one that will serve you, allowing you to break the cycle and become the best version of yourself. Only then you can be emotionally and physically available to be the parent, spouse, sibling Dentist or Practice owner that you are proud to be.
