Are you ready for Black Friday?

Next Friday, 29th November, is traditionally  known as Black Friday.
It is thought that the name Black Friday originates in the 1950s and there are two possible reasons why the name was coined. The first is thought to be because, in the USA the Friday after Thanksgiving is traditionally when people start to plan for Christmas and begin their shopping and the streets were lined with cars and shoppers turning them black, the other is because you between January and November retailers operated in the red and when the pre-Christmas shopping started after Thanksgiving their bank accounts would return to the black, because it was the busiest shopping day of the year.
